Looking Back

My scanner has arrived, and I've been informed my laptop has been shipped. It should be here by Monday. Super exciting! I wanted to do a test run with my scanner, so I pulled out some old photos and negatives. I tried scanning in a couple of negatives (which is really neat!), but ended up spending most of my time just looking through the photos and reminiscing. I absolutely love looking back at old photos. I suppose that's one reason I like scrapbooking. My boyfriend commented on one of his old pictures, "Wow, was I ever really that young?" Time goes by so quickly, you have to remember to enjoy today.

And today, I have one set of 8.5x11 sketches, one set of 12x12 sketches, and one 8.5x11 template for you. Here are the previews:

Also, for those of you who downloaded my second set of 8.5x11 sketches that I posted here, I just realized that the image said sketches 1a-5a when really they are 6a-10a. I've fixed that, so you can download the correct version if you wish.

Back to School

Today's my first day of the semester. I'm both excited and sad. Yesterday was my last day off for a long while, so that kind of takes the fun away from learning new things. Oh well, I'll get over it.

I have several downloads for you today. And again, something for everyone.

The first download is the first set of 8.5x11 sketches.

Second is the latest set of 12x12 sketches.

Next are four more converted 8.5x11 templates.

And last but not least, two new 12x12 templates. These are 2 versions of the same template. One has a 6x4 photo with six 2x2 photos. The other has a 8x6 photo with eight 2x2 photos. I was going to choose between them but ended up liking both.

That should keep you all scrapping for awhile, no? :) Have a great day everyone!

Super Saturday

It's my last weekend before the fall semester starts. Come Wednesday, the first day of school, I don't know how often I will be able to work on templates and updating my blog. But since I actually have fun making these templates, it does serve as stress relief for me. So I'll probably end up still working on it quite a bit. I will try to post something new at least once a week, so be sure to visit every now and then.

Today I have something for everyone. Digital and paper scrappers, 12x12 and 8.5x11 scrappers alike. There is one more set of sketches, two 8.5x11 templates, and one 12x12 template for download. Happy scrapping!

Show and Tell

Tami has made a few pages using my layouts and was gracious enough to allow me to post them here. I hope they will help inspire all of you in using my templates!

For this first one, Tami flipped the template horizontally to use for the second page.

For this next one, Tami used a different template for each page.

Thanks for sharing, Tami!

And of course, I have a couple of downloads for you today. I have the second set of sketches for you as well as the first of my (converted) 8.5x11 templates.

Busy Day

Lots of stuff to share today.

Several people had great ideas for my "kids page" template. Sharon Kay said it might be good for a team page, Belle said it would work well for a year-in-review page, and Tami said it would be nice for a page of her kindergarten class. All great ideas!

Today's freebie is the same idea as last freebie, only done with circles. I made one with 2-inch circles in the same format as last freebie and one with 2.5-inch circles that filled the page more. Since I couldn't decide which one I liked better, you get both.

I've started creating PDF files for my layouts as well. This is for paper scrappers who want to use my layouts as sketches or for digital scrappers who just want a print out of my layouts (like for ease of choosing a template to use). Each file will have 5 of my layouts in sketch format. I have one for you today, and I'll be putting up more in the coming days.

Also, I'm considering converting my 12x12 templates into 8.5x11 templates. Is this something you would be interested in? I don't really know how popular this size is. I've always scrapped 12x12 and then printed at 8x8. Leave a comment on my blog if you would like to see 8.5x11 templates.

Here are today's downloads:
